I just found out a friend of mine lives in Homer Alaksa(which I think is where Chis Palmer is moving), so I decided to take a virtual flight into the area. We started at PACV, I took the flight a bit more seriously as I an now a licenced pilot and tried to employ some Aeronautical Decision Making.

I run right into this...

I think this is golf airspace so I descend to keep to VFR minumums(I mile visibility and clear of clouds), also I want to do a touch and go at Johnston Point

Low and Fast, my kind of flying!

The next leg is quite long to Seward so I climbed to 10,000 Ft msl to get above this cloud layer

Above it all

Finally a break in the clouds!

Alaska is quite scenic what with all the elevation changes and water.

Turning final at Seward, I think the "D" is silent

This is the Harding Icefield, it's actually quite disorienting, you can't really judge ground elevation and the cloud tops in the distance look like terrain.

Wicked set of screenies. Love the clouds, and all the pointy bits of land sticking out of the water. Nice :)
