Hey guys,
To celebrate having a somewhat functioning 747-400, I kicked off this week with a good ol' Longhaul - where 747s are used most: across the Pacific! Took two and a bit days to finish due to school and lack of FMC but, whatever, it was all fun! Today's flight is CX872 from HKG-SFO! Hope you guys enjoy!

Well, it's a normal day here in Hong Kong. Incredibely hot, polluted overcast, and bad visibility...typical. Checking out the planes nose, beautiful B-HUE for today's flight. We got a quick departure off 25L, and from there, we'll head north with twilight over Shanghai, and night finally settling over South Korea. After passing South Korea, we'll fly over some small islands in the Japanese Archipeligo. We'll be airborne over the Pacific throughout the night, and will hit Sunrise over some uninhabited Aleutian islands. From then on, we'll cut down through the Eastern Pacific and hit the Northern California Coast about 100mi north of SFO. Typical runways in use: 28L/R, so we'll fly overhead the SFO VOR and turn around and approach over the San Mateo Bridge. Block Time: 12hrs, 30mins.

This side of the terminal is heavily occupied by Cathay because of its extensive lounge system which sits nearby.

Pushback complete, now comes the long process of starting all-fours. And B-LAD, CX's 100th Aircraft is in town!

Thanks a bunch for watching! For the record, I used the Overland Package 747-400 with paint by Jacob Kubique.
Hope you enjoyed the story and shots, and as always: Comments/Criticism Most Wanted/Welcome!
Planning on another one soon,
